Rain is falling heavily in parts of Africa and impacting the work of several Blood:Water partners. But people need healthcare and clean water now!
That’s why your prayers are vital. Please take some time to pray for more favorable weather, so our partners can repair any damage the rains may have caused and continue to serve some of the world’s most vulnerable.
Please lift up…
Lwala Community Alliance (LCA), Kenya
Beneficiaries of the HAWI (HIV/AIDS and WASH Integrated project) program are facing difficulty accessing healthcare in the rainy season, which affects adherence, reinforcements, and treatment schedules by the Patient Support Center team.
Pray for this team as they re-establish best health practices in their communities. Similarly, these unpredictable weather patterns have affected beneficiaries’ participation in sanitation efforts, which are vital as a result of their compromised immunity.
MOUCECORE, Rwanda
Heavy rainfall has destroyed many community members’ properties and WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene) infrastructure, including latrines and water points. Many families have resorted to drinking contaminated water.
Pray for MOUCECORE as it works with communities to repair the infrastructures that are beyond the community’s capabilities, while also moving forward on additional projects.
Literacy Action and Development Agency (LADA), Uganda
Prolonged heavy rains affected LADA’s construction processes that were in place to bring clean water to Bwambara sub-county. They were unable to excavate a site for their reservoir this spring as it continually collapsed.
Pray that the groundwater will drain so LADA can continue their work for clean water in Bwambara and build a strong foundation base for this site’s water reservoir.
Thank you for your faithful prayers!
