Last month we welcomed two new faces to the Blood:Water team, and we can’t wait for you to get to know them! Over the next nine months, Jacob Woodford and Ryan Kibble will be assisting in the communications and marketing departments as a part of the Vision & Call program, and we are so excited to have them. Read on to get to know the newest members of our team!

JACOB WOODFORD – Colorado Springs, CO

Meet Jacob, our new Donor Relations and Communications intern! He recently graduated from Hope College in Holland, MI with a degree in Political Science and minors in Kinesiology and Psychology. He is on the Pre-Law Track, and will be heading to George Washington University next year – and if you’re looking for someone who can get work done in a noisy space, he’s your guy!

What made you want to apply for a Blood:Water internship?

I had known of Blood:Water for a little while, and wanted to work for an organization that would help me grow as a person while also getting valuable experience in the non-profit sphere. When I heard of the internship, it seemed to perfectly fit what I was hoping to do during my gap year.

What is your dream job?

I would love to be an executive officer for some type of NGO, preferably working to promote humanitarian interests.

What is your favorite book?

Barbarian Days by William Finnegan

What is your favorite pastime?

Anything outside, but I’m a huge snowboarder and rock climber. I also played hockey through college, so I love to get on the ice when I can.

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Probably pulled pork, with lots of hot BBQ sauce and some good slaw.

Tell us one of your special quirks!

I’m from a big family that was pretty loud, so I tend to work/study better in noisy places. Never in the library!

Ryan Kibble – Nashville, TN

Meet Ryan, our new graphic design intern! He recently graduated from Lipscomb University with a degree in Graphic Design, and if you want to throw an impromptu dance party, he should be #1 on your list.

I felt that Blood:Water would be an excellent transition from a Christian college into the workplace. Blood:Water also offers a great opportunity for growth from a design standpoint.

What is your Dream job?

Making album/vinyl covers for big artists.

What is your favorite book?

Messy Spirituality.

What is your favorite pastime?

Dancing, listening to music or eating great food.

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Grandma’s spaghetti.

Tell us one of your special quirks!

Dancing when there is no music.
