Raleigh Community
The Raleigh community is proud to partner with Blood:Water to end water and HIV/AIDS health disparities in Africa. Over the last decade, the Raleigh community has raised over $300,000 toward these efforts in an extraordinary display of how one community can join together in working together to lift up a community thousands of miles away. Now 7,500 people in East and Southern Africa have access to safe water thanks to the Raleigh community and Blood:Water's partners!
2023-2024 Raleigh Community Initiative
Over the next two years, the Raleigh community will once again be coming together to help strengthen the African-led, community-driven partners at the forefront of this work. In order to see the Blood:Water portfolio of partners flourish, the Raleigh community is committed raising $150,000 for:
- The 2023 Blood:Water Partner Summit in Nairobi, Kenya. This week-long engagement aims to deepen peer learning, develop leaders, expand networks, and create a space for Blood:Water partners and staff to enjoy time with one another.
- Launching the Leader Collective, which includes building connections, virtually and in person, through meaningful thought exchange, peer support, mentorship, and learning and expanding access to resources and tools that strengthen leaders and leadership practice with intentionality.
- Supporting improvement plan funding for each Blood:Water partner organization that includes the strengthening of management, human resources, financial, technical, and external resources.
Pairing these critical organizational strengthening initiatives alongside flexible financial support ensures that together we will be able to share in the joy of ending the water and HIV/AIDS crises - with our partners & in this lifetime.
