We are so proud of what our summer interns accomplished for their fundraiser. Check out their take!
We started out with a really big idea. Why not host a Blood:Water carnival with bouncy houses and face painting and you name it?
In an earlier blog, we told you Blood:Water’s interns were tasked with hosting an intern fundraiser. We are the summer interns. And, okay, we scaled the carnival back a bit to a Food Truck Meet Up. But, that didn’t matter; God still showed up big, and we are so grateful.
With just about a month to plan, we worked tirelessly to execute our fundraiser. Come Saturday, Aug. 3, we did it! Food Trucks and vendors gathered at Nashville’s Sevier Park and community members and supporters rallied around Blood:Water, while eating great food, shopping at awesome vendor tables and fellowshipping together. At the end of the day, we raised $2,600 toward building a well in Uganda.
It was the result of many hours planning, but the outcome was truly the handiwork of the Lord. We could have had the best marketing plans and set up the most extravagant event in the world, but, instead, He took our meek efforts and transformed it into a community event to help His children half a world away.
We were blessed to be part of it.
