Kristin, also known by her rapper name, K-Flow Rida, is truly one of a kind. Blood:Water’s favorite extroverted fashionista originated from Winston Salem, N.C., but fell in love with Nashville, Tenn., post-graduation from the University of Virginia. Go Cavaliers! It was there that she double majored in sociology and African American studies.
She realized the pull in her heart to make a difference for Africa, and ultimately Blood:Water, when working alongside African refugees with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville. It was also there that she met her boyfriend, Trey, who is one of the three necessities she would want to have while stranded on a deserted island.
The other two necessities she would want if she were stranded? Her boyfriend’s son, Tristan, and (no surprise) her snoring, popcorn-loving, teeth-lacking pug, Aurora. Some of the best days in the Blood:Water office are when Kristin brings Aurora (also affectionately known as Rora, Munchkin, or Girly) to visit. Our staff has adopted her into our hearts!
Rora’s favorite food may be popcorn and Greenies™, but Kristin says that if it’s her turn to pick dinner, Mas Tacos in East Nashville will be her first choice! Pair that with a Diet Coke, a patio big enough for yoga in the sunshine, and an early bedtime, and you’ll find Kristin with a smile on her face.
Of course, she is rarely seen without one of those! Kristin lights up every room she walks into, and that’s why it is a blessing to have her strengthening relationships with our amazing donors every day.
