Pamoja Voices: Climate-Resilience Planning Toolkit for Cooperatives

Developed in Tanzania, this toolkit helps cooperatives and organisations supporting them facilitate inclusive discussions about climate change, gender and everyday business challenges. It provides participatory exercises that help ensure the voices and priorities of women, men and young people are heard in identifying challenges and developing solutions.

The toolkit supports groups to examine how climate change affects their activities and livelihoods, identify shared priorities and develop collective action plans. It also encourages more inclusive decision-making by creating space for groups that may otherwise be underrepresented in cooperative discussions.

CBOs working with farmers, producer groups, cooperatives and rural communities can adapt the exercises to support community planning, strengthen participation and develop locally informed responses to climate-related livelihood challenges. The resource is available in both English and Kiswahili, making it especially accessible to organisations in East Africa.
